Where can I find parking and/or other options for transportation?
Am I allowed to bring in outside food or drink?
Kay Bailey Hutchison Convention Center Dallas does not allow outside food or beverages.
What is your handgun policy?
Kay Bailey Hutchison Convention Center Dallas follows all applicable state and local laws regarding weapons in the facility.
What is your COSTUME weapons and props policy?
Simulated or costume weapons are allowed as a part of your costume, subject to prior approval by security, the local police, and if in compliance with the following. Please note that the police have the final say on all cosplay weapons.
- All costume weapons must be inspected by uniformed police at the Costume Weapons Check Desk in the main lobby.
- All costume weapons must conform to all state and federal laws.
- Projectile costume weapons must be rendered inoperable.
- Costume swords must be tied to your costume in such a way that they can’t be drawn and must also pass police approval.
After each person’s costume weapon has been checked, it will be tagged by security, and you will be given a wristband to wear to designate that your weapons have been checked. Security will escort you to the security station for inspection if your costume weapon is not tagged. Please do not bring your costume weapons if you are unwilling to comply with these policies. Event organizers and the police department reserve all rights to change or modify any costume weapons policy or rule at any time and without notice to best safely serve event attendees. Your understanding and cooperation are appreciated.
Does KBHCCD offer complimentary internet? If so, how do I access it?
In partnership with Visit Dallas and Smart City Networks, we offer free Wi-Fi internet service in all common areas and meeting rooms. When connecting on your device, search for "Free Internet." Are pets allowed?
Pets are not allowed at Kay Bailey Hutchison Convention Center Dallas; however, service animals are welcome. The KBHCCD follows ADA guidelines regarding service animals. All ADA service animal guidelines may be found here.
Where can I nurse and/or pump?
Kay Bailey Hutchison Convention Center Dallas is proud to partner with Mamava to provide two private nursing pods for moms on the go. Mamava pods offer a discreet space to nurse and pump while visiting our facility. We have two pods on the KBHCCD campus:
- Level 2, A Lobby by the Arena
- Level 2, C Lobby by Kay’s Place/Go Natural
Who do I contact if I have special needs?
KBHCCD is ADA compliant. It is our goal to implement new standards as they are introduced. In accordance with the ADA, we are responsible for and provide permanent premises access accommodations such as, but not limited to, wheelchair lifts, elevator standards, door width standards, and restroom accessibility.
It is the event organizer’s responsibility to provide non-permanent accessibility requirements, such as, but not limited to, hearing-assistive or visually-assistive devices, temporary seating accessibility, and/or interpreters. If you need non-permanent accessibility aid while at the KBHCCD, please consult with the event registration desk.
Which hotels are closest to the convention center?
For your convenience, the KBHCCD is connected to the 1,001-room Omni Dallas Hotel via a skybridge. There are dozens of other hotel options within walking distance of the KBHCCD.
How far is the airport from the convention center and what type of transportation is available?
DFW International Airport
DFW International Airport is 20.5 miles from the KBHCCD. DART has convenient and economical ways to travel between DFW Airport and downtown Dallas – DART Rail Orange Line, the Trinity Railway Express (TRE) commuter rail, and DART bus route 408.
Dallas Love Field Airport
Dallas Love Field Airport is 7.8 miles from the KBHCCD. Your link between DART Light Rail’s Orange and Green Lines and the Love Field Terminal is Bus Route 524 (Love Link), which operates between Dallas Love Field and the Inwood/Love Field Station.
